Montville, Connecticut, 1869

Background

The purpose of this site is to honor my ancestors, collaborate with others and document the expanding knowledge of my kin. With the help of many close relatives and distant alike, I have been able to compile a comprehensive family tree of John Vibber* I (b. ~1689) along with that of my other allied families.

It has been very rewarding to break down brick walls and discover our family’s role in American history. I am very proud of my deep New England roots and the pioneers of those colonies.

*The origin of the name is not clear, but there is conclusive evidence that ties the majority if not all the Vibber, Vebber, and Veber’s back to John Vibber I.
