    • Obadiah Sawtell. 1649-1740. Son of Richard. Probably born at Watertown about 1649. Married, about 1682, Hannah, daughter of George Lawrence. Died at Groton March 20, 1740, "in 92a year of his age," according to the inscription on his gravestone at Groton. Obadiah Sawtell was a soldier in King Philip's war. His son, Obadiah, was killed by Indians at Charlestown, N. H., June 17, 1749.
