  • Notes
    • Harry Russell Vibber went to school in Grandview, Iowa and Iowa State College at Ames, Iowa, where he became a registered pharmacist. In 1907 he arrived in Kennewick, Washington where he managed the Columbia Steamboat Co. 1907-1912, for the Todd Brothers of Tacoma, who are cousins. He took the State Board examinations in 1906, and with Kit Gifford formed the Vibber-Gifford Drug Co. They opened for business March 10, 1912. His wife, Susie Mae worked with him much of her life, and was also a registered pharmacist. Harry Russell became a well-known and respected man in the city and business-world of Kennewick. After his death in 1942, Susie Mae continued to work with her son, John, who in 1943 bought out Mr. Gifford. They celebrated the 50th Anniversary in business - March, 1962, and continued the business until Susie Mae's death in 1965 after which John sold the company.
