Hugh, Jr., b. in Amherst 19 November, 1808 ; learned the printer's trade in the Telegraph office and the Patriot office at Concord; was engaged in publishing several newspapers, and compiled a sketch of the life of Col. Ethan Allen, which was published at Plattsburg, N. Y., in 1831 ; a writer of much ability and promise; d. in Amherst, February, 1837 : unmarried."
