• Notes

  In 1760, George died under peculiar conditions. After visiting a friend in Lyne, during the winter months, he walked home. He was missing for several months and his decayed body was found in the woods and identified from the clothes he was wearing. Johanna remarried on May 22nd, 1766, Jason Allen (b. c. 1700), the son of Samuel Allen and Lydia Hastings. This was Jason Allen's second marriage, his first wife Mary Atwell having died in 1762.
