He was a patent Examiner in the U.S. Patent Office from 1934-19??; member of the bar, Washington, D.C. and New York, NY. He later had a private practice of Patent Law in New York City.

      Alfred and Dorothy later resided in Atlantic Highlands and Waretown, NJ.
