• Notes

  (II) Robert Bent, second child of John Bent (i) was born September, 1566, in Penton-Grafton, England. He married Agnes Gosling, who followed her son to New England, and died in May or June, 1639, on the ship "Jonathan," in Boston harbor. He died before that. Children of Robert and Agnes Bent: Margaret, baptized March 28, 1590; Richard, bantized May 7, 1592; John, see forward; Maria, baptized September 24, 1598, died young; Dennis, bantized December 10, 1599, resided in New Salem, Wiltshire, England; Agnes, baptized July 16, 1602; James, married and remained in England.
