    • V. CHARLES (29), b. 26 June, 1786, son of Jonathan Hill and Charlotte Fox; married 27 Jan., 1809, Sybel Fox, daughter of Elijah Fox, b. 5 April, 1789. He was a farmer and cooper, and lived on the farm formerly occupied by his
      father. He carried on the cooperage business at New London for a fow years, but returned to Montville, and continued to reside there until his death, 4 March, 1873. He was a member of the Congregational church at Montville, and was chosen deacon 2 July, 1824. He, with his wife, united with the church 5 Oct., 1823. He was much respected as a Christian man, and both died strong in the Christian faith. She died 30 Nov., 1871, aged 82 years.
